Weekend!

I had a great weekend planned!!!!!!!? We had tickets for a Buffalo Bandits Lacrosee game (at the Harbor Club which is the "premiere section, restaurant/seats in the arena) from the the hospital DH works at?for the staff and their family.? The new CEO who took over the hospital is very much into balancing work and family and I have to say that there have been many nice little perks for EVERYONE since he started.?? Then Sunday we had some errands and a big dinner at Jim's grandparent's house - 11 people!!!?So, Sat., we are getting ready for the game when dishwasher decided to act goofy and all of our "clean" dishes were encrusted with crusty, black stuff.? It wasn't food particles, it looked like black bits of some kind of coating!? I was so upset but, I figured that it was too late in the evening (6pm) to deal with it and we had to get going.? So DH showered and then Ash took her bath, which she does alone other than me washing her hair for her.? Well, when I asked her to get out so I could get in, she let up the stopper and one of my little face wash bottles went right down the drain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It stopped up the whole flow of water!? So I tried plunging and all different tools and NOTHING!? Well, I didn't want the tickets to go to waste and Ash was so excited about going so I told DH to just take her (well...I didn't say it that nicely or quietly) and set about playing plumber.? I ended up getting the bottle out of the drain so it is still in there but straight upright so the water just goes down AROUND it....I know I am going to have to get someone for the maintenance dept. here but, they are so assinine about things.....So, I missed out on that!?Sunday was a lot nicer but, Jim's Grandpa was having one of his "days" (he is in the early stages of altzheimers) and was just making things very difficult for everyone - first, he started in on us about our religion and why Ashley does not know the sign of the cross and the dinner blessing then? he was on to critisizing Jim's brother and his girlfriend for bringing their dog over - whom he normal loves, she is a 2 yr. old Toy Fox Terrier.? Then it was onto my sister in law and her poor boyfriend who I felt so bad for as it was his first time with the family and he was very nice....he just had a few too many piercings for Jim's grandpa.? Finally my poor MIL had to get him under control.....Oy Vey!? So it was an adventure for sure but, we survived!?Today Ashley has an eye apt. and tons of homework for Tues. return to school....?So, that was my weekend.?
