Playing Catch up.....

Just a few things I have to catch up on before they escape my clutter filled mind....I swear, this organization plan of mine is going to kick in VERY soon! Ashley had her IVIG the other day and thankfully all went well - she is still complaining about her mediport being in pain for a few days afterwards so I am going to request an x-ray but, the doc. is confident it may be some internal bruising from a) the length of time she has the port and b) that it may be getting too small for her growing body - we'll have to see if a replacement is necessary. Other than that all is well - Ashley was a excited by a recent clearnce toy I found at Toys R Us called Shining Stars....they are stuffed animals with little stars sewn to the bottom of their feet and come with a site that you go to and actually name your OWN star (a real one, in the sky) with the international star registery! It's really very cute. The one I found is great - it's a black cat which looks very similar to the cat in the Pagan magazine that her and I read for each Sabbat based on the characters Pooka (cat) and Elsie (a little girl)....this issue has a grat candle making project for Imbolc which I am hoping to get completed! Jim's overnight was uneventful other than the usual tiredness the next day...he is really good about bouncing back though! Today we went to a psychic fair and met up with one of my best girlfriends, Denise and had fun - found some interesting little things.....I love these fairs because you purchase right from companies/vendors so you pay about 1/2 the cost of what you would pay in a store for a lot of things! For example, I found a CD of Wiccan chants (I have searched far and wide for chants as opposed to meditations..) and was thrilled to find a beautiful one for $10! Word to wise, though - only go with what you want to spend - too easy to go overboard! Not sure if I will go to the next one in Feb. because I am going to a woman's retreat w/Denise on April 12th and the Mind-Body-Spirit Expo is April 5th so probably not - OMG, Mama Witch showing good use of $$$$! A Blessing from the Mother :) Tomorrow is more cleaning and homework with Ash - a chill day while Jim works 3-11, Monday will be rather busy! I am hoping to read some more of this wonderful new book I found at a used book sale called Remedies from the Country Doctor - it is great! Very simple, generic cures for everyday things...I love that in stark contrast to this pill popping society we live in. For example, say you have a stomach flu or are throwing up.....well, you could go to the store and buy electrolyte solution (which is good if you have been continually vcomiting for over 24 hours....) but say this is just more of a bug - take a liter bottle (so 1/2 of a 2-Ltr of a Pepsi bottle) and mix w/a tsp. of salt and 8 tsp. of sugar. Mix thoroughly and serve cool - NOT cold! See? Brilliant! Mama Witch loves home remedies...another is to place warmed nutmeg on your mid abd.! I love it...off to read... Myspace Graphics
